The Lodge was built in 1998 and was constructed to take advantage of its superb location in a region labeled "The Golden Mile" and more recently dubbed “The Billionaires Belt” situated in the foothills of the Waterberg Mountains and in the very popular area of Warmbaths/ Bela-Bela in the Limpopo Province of South Africa.

Giraffe (unique black giraffe), Waterbuck, Blesbuck, Kudu, Blue Wildebeest, Zebra, Impala, Red Hartebeest, Nyala, Ostrich, Leopard, caracal, porcupine, aardwolf, aardvark, jackal, springhares, scrub hare, warthog, duiker, Steen buck, brown hyena, Vervet monkeys, chacma baboon, bush baby, squirrel, mongoose, terrapin, tortoise, python, monitor lizard and many other small mammals, reptiles and insects.

This reserve boasts a bird list of more than 280 identified species including Raptors.

Development – Permissions – until 2016

Permissions otained for 25 new lodge chalets on a stand zoned for business (this stand is additional to the 47 which are residential)
